An update before I go away and also - Happy 4th

Just wanted to say I'm going to my parents lake house for the July 4th weekend. I'll be leaving tomorrow if everything goes okay with my therapy phone session otherwise I'll wait till Wednesday to leave. I'll probably be back on Sunday evening or sometime Monday. Don't have internet access at the lake house but may drive into town and use the wireless at the library if it's open. Anyway, July 3rd I'll be going with 2 of my older brothers to a concert - Def Leopard and Poison. Should be good. I was around 8 or 9 years old when my three older brothers bought "Flesh and Blood Sacrifice" and I still have the cassette tape sitting here. The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. I am patriotic and I love fireworks so I enjoy being with family especially in the Adirondacks of NY. One of my 3 older brothers is an officer in the army national guard of VT. He is a nurse and he will be promoted to 1st Lieutenant officer in September. He just got finished doing a 10 day training and he came in 2nd in the Physical Fitness Test. It's amazing that only 6 years ago he was in a car accident that shattered his pelvis, knee, shoulder, and ankle and now he can still run better than most other soldiers. Just goes to show that people with injuries and people who took a year to recover and rehab can go back into doing the sports they loved. He even ran a Burlington marathon a few years back. I'm very proud of him and also of my other 2 older brothers. Anyway In December he will be being deployed with about 1700 other Vermont National Guard troops to Afghanistan for 10-12 months. So he won't be here next summer unless somehow he works out that his R&R is during the summer. He did while he was in training after basic training down in Texas and surprised my parents and me by flying in for the 4th. That was at least 7 years ago or so. It was 90 degrees out and we saw him walking towards us in his uniform and thought we were delirious from the heat. It was an awesome surprise. Anyhow, enough reminiscing. Hope everyone has a great 4th. Take care.
