OMG!

So, this weekend was the 4th of July. There were brats and hot dogs and chips and all the fixings... I DIDN'T give in.... On Sunday my sister and I ordered Chinese food... I could have given in. I could have ordered what I normally do. But I didn't. I got steamed vegetables, and white rice. ( and I marked down the ounces before I even ate them...) They started munching on leftovers because the Chinese food did not " hit the spot"... I did not give in. I have been making healthy substitutes that still taste good, and saying no to food I know I don't need. Since last Thursday I lost almost 3 pounds. I know, On 'The Biggest Loser' they drop like 14 pounds a week, but I feel great!! A holiday weekend! Temptations all around me! I stood strong! I even made a dinner date planned for myself. I am going to Pizza Hut. ( my favorite pizza ever) I am going to have 2 pieces of pizza, and some salad, and I will have satisfied my craving of Pizza Hut..( that I have been craving for like 1 month .. lol.) I know you shouldn't reward yourself with food, but if I don't curve this craving eventually I will order and eat a whole large pizza myself eventually lol. Plus my whole family is coming. I am super excited. I think people around me think I am not going to do it, because I have failed so many times, but I want this time to be the one where I prove them wrong! I can't believe I lost about 33 pounds with just watching how I ate! I am excited to see what happens when I am physically strong enough to exercise!

    Good for you for not depriving yourself of the things you love! I would be miserable if I couldn't enjoy the good foods God has given us!

    Congrats on keeping control! I know what you mean about the pizza...I usually have some once a week or every other week-otherwise here comes a whole pie down the chute. Keep up the good work!

    emoticon on making better food choices and portion control. it's true as i've found from my own experience that deprivation will inevitably lead to cravings and bingeing, so moderation is the way for me. continued success!

    Oh you are not done! You are going strong and will keep on this path. I also don't think having pizza is a big deal. You do have to keep living in the real world and sometimes that means eating there. Having a plan before you go - that is truly the best thing you can do for yourself. Congrats on the loss! Congrats on the great choices over the weekend! The best part of all this is how great you feel today.

    It does feel good to eat healthier and lose weight. I eat 4 dark hershey's kisses every day, before I could probably eat a bag! I find just having a little bit of a treat makes you still feel like you are having a treat but without the guilt.

    I've also been making homeade wheat crust pizzas lately, really cuts down the calories!

    Wow...you are doing great!!!

    By the way, I totally eat pizza every week. It is my #1 favorite food and I know if I don't allow myself to regularly eat it, I'll binge eventually. Two-three slices of cheese only pizza every week is my treat. :) Probably not the BEST diet plan, but it's what works for me!
