I am inspiring my children, how did that happen?

Saturday, July 18, 2009

Yesterday, a funny thing happened to me. My eighteen year old came back from the weight room and told me that I am inspiring him to exercise regularly. He left for the weight room and I didn't know where he was going. I thought he didn't need me anymore. It was a little depressing. When he came back he told me that. I told him that I thought he didn't need me anymore. He told me that he would always need me. emoticon

My middle child, a daughter, has been working out all summer. We have been helping each other when we get tired and feel we can't go on. She brought home two old Tae Bo tapes to workout with that have helped me immensely.

My youngest child, another daughter, has actually gotten up before noon a few times this week. She usually stays up all night on the computer and watching tv and then sleeps all day. She wouldn't tell me that I am inspiring her but I think I am.

All this feed back from my family is helping me keep going. Isn't it great to have a support system? I mean family.

That is awesome! I hope I can be an inspiration to my children as well. I do notice them talking about getting exercise, so maybe?

emoticon Well done! this could only have happened by the daily, everyday kind of progress that is too small to notice consciously, but which accumulates into great strides forward. And, as you've seen, not just for you but for those around you.

Happy osmosis! emoticon May we all "osmose" motivation like this :)
