August 1st---holy cow!!
I have done alot this summer as in getting my mile base up. My long runs are 9 miles, most runs are atleast 5 miles, ranging from 5 to 7 most days,,,yea some days I may only get 3 or 4 but they are far in between.
I have a 10 mile race in 21 days!!!
Things I need to accomplish in the next 21 days:
water intake HAS GOT TO IMPROVE!! There are no IF'S, AND'S OR'S about it. I have to improve the water intake.
I need to get the eating of sugar, no nutrient, crap under control...what a day to realize this...Johnathon's bday party!! with home made banana cake and ice cream!!! Hopefully the 6 teenage boys that are here will take care of the cake...but anyways. I know what has to be done I've said it a million times and I get tired of telling myself the same crap over and over. I know it, so shut up and just do it! yes I talk and argue with myself all the time!! LOL
Meals: Meals, I have to balance them better with protein, carbs and fat. This is where I get confused and I lose focus and just plop the stuff on my plate. I guess I need to have a visual at dinner and I probably should just print out or tear out the page that is in one of my magazines that shows the break down of the plate.
I need to plan...which I do most of the time for dinner but dinner only. I kinda wing it with lunches and snacks....I don't wing it very well. I end up eating too much crap in between meals. I make out a monthly menu for dinner, I guess I could do something similar for the rest of my meals.
But then I think, am I over thinking all of this--meal planning??? My s-i-l thinks that i over think what we eat and put to much time into the meal planning...sometimes I wonder if I do?? When I do plan things out, I do better with eating UGH!!
I need to come up with a plan for August and then I'll have to come up with something entirely different for after September 8th...back to school for the kids and I go back to work!! My schedule will be totally different, no more morning runs I'll be back to afternoons and evenings when I have a free evening....back to soccer 2 to 4 times a week and cross country 5 days a week and lacrosse...if I can find my daughter a team.....oh I must enjoy this last month of summer!
