New Beginnings

I am new to blogging so I ask for your patience and to forgive and errors. I was very frightened when I went to the doctor's last week and found out that my blood pressure was so high: 150/95. all my life it has run rather low 90/70. After the "lecture" about the danger of hypertension I decided NOW is the time to get serious about losing this weight. I have accepted that only I am responsible for my health or lack of it. I have resolved to lose the weight necessary to lower my blood pressure and cholesterol levels. I have two beautiful sons and want to be around to see them both graduate;one from college and the other from high school at least (he really hates school).
I have to stop making excuses for myself; get off my bottom and get out there and get some exercise., drink those 8 or more glasses of water turn off the computer and tv and get at least 8 hours sleep and dog gone keep reading these wonderful spark pages.

    You have found the right place. I love the tools here. As long as you stick to it, it works. It is amazing how much time you have to do it when you just make yourself. The benefits are so worth it. You will feel better, look better, and be proud of yourself. If you have any questions let me know.

    PS- My best advice is to remember exercise can be fun, and comes in all forms. Even just parking farther from the doors when shopping counts! Frisbee in back yard with the kids, gardening, etc... Make it fun, and you will find it that much easier.
