I enjoyed my little break over this past weekend. It really gave my toes some time to heal. I'm real thankful for that!!! I went for a 3 mile run last night with hubby. He carried the garmin so my time was slightly longer than his. We did a 3.1 in just over 29 minutes...well he did, I'm probably right around 31-32 min. mark. I wasn't pushing myself to hard at first but once he pulled ahead of me, that is when I was really forced myself to catch him. The humidity was slightly high and I kinda paid for it at first. I was able to work through that and nearly caught him when he took off on me again. hahaha funny guy!! I had motivation to keep the pace up though cause he was in front of me and at the very end I decided I was walking up the little hill in our subdivsion, well bout the time I decided this another jogger came up from behind me...I decided OH I THINK NOT!! this is MY hill MY street!! I picked up the pace once again and ran the rest of the street until I got take that Mr. unknown jogger!!

Tonight we are going again, he's doing 2 and I'm going for between 4-6 miles.
I bought some moleskin for my toes and will give that a try tonight. Last night I had no problems but I also only went the 3 miles and usually am fine at that mileage. I loosened my laces and gave my feet a bath in baby powder before putting on my socks. Could my shoes of been just too tight??? I never even considered that cause they felt fine. My DH kept asking me if they were too tight and I kept saying I dont think so, they feel fine. He finally convinced me to just loosen them up a little bit...hmmmm. I guess tonight I will know if that was the trouble????

As much as I complained about running in the evening hours, I'm actually starting to like it because I'm really forced to watch what I'm eating all thru the day. It's not like I eat horrible, but I'm just forced to even be better. It helps me get all my water in and I've really stayed away from drinking Coke. I still like my mornings cause its just so peaceful, but evening hasn't been all bad either. I guess, I'll be okay.

I have 11 more days until my 10 mile race OMG!!

    I hope the moleskin helps. Sometimes if I work out with my shoes laced too tight, it hurts my feet. I wish I had thought to mention it to you. I'm eager to hear how a few extra miles feel with the moleskin. :)
