Hello Spark Buddies,
I got on my Wii Fit today after being absent from it for over 60 days. I was kind of skeptic

about getting on it because it would always "say" hurtful things to me

For example, when i was over 220lbs, it would say "oh"

every time i stepped on it, as if i was hurting it

However, when i stepped on it today, it said

So that made me feel good
Next, it was time for me to do the stability test and i passed it at 70% for being well-centered
Finally, it was time for me to update my weight

which is the part i hate the most! I was scared

that the Wii would show a different weight that was higher

than the scale i weighed in on Monday (200lbs). To my surprise

the Wii calculated me as weighing three and a half pounds less (196.5). However, it still yelled at me and said i was "Obese"
I really felt good with all of the readings from the Wii system. Although it still calculated my BMI as being in the "Obese" range, it did move

a couple of notches and my weight decreased

by 19 lbs

All of this was done within 68 days of me being absent from it.
If it wasn't for SparkPeople's website and it's motivating members, I don't think I would have lost those 19lbs alone. I know I have a long way to go to reach my goal, but for now I'm overwhelmed of the progress I've made so far. I would like to tell the staff and my motivating SparkBuddies

for all your help and encouragement

In no way am i discouraging anyone not to get the Wii Fit. In my opinion it is a great machine for those who want to lose weight and for those who want to play games or have family fun.
This blog is intended to be hilarious and motivating, not discouraging. For those who i have offended, i apologize. And i know it's just a machine that yells at a healthy, overweight, or obese person, lolol. It yelled at my daughter and she weighs 102 lbs, lolol.
