Starting Over

Sunday, August 30, 2009

I have been down this road so many times. The difference this time is that I have a renewed reason to get healthier. After 27 years I have found my only sibling. The hole in my heart that I use to fill with food, has been filled with the love of my brother.

To start this journey AGAIN, I'm going to set small & mini goals.

Small goal lose 24 lbs by 12/27/09

Mini goals 6 lbs by 9/27/09
12 lbs by 10/25/09
18 lbs by 11/22/09
24 lbs by 12/27/09

Awesome news on finding your brother! Must be incredibly exciting (and overwhelming) to reconnect after so much time!

I love the SP site -- is actually working at getting me turned around, not only in weight loss / exercise but also in lifestyle! You're gonna love this site!

Good for you!! Keep at it. I too have tried this over and over, but this time I'm actually having a real success at it. I truly believe this is because I have made a great friend on Sparkpages, and we write almost daily. I've found that I can be brutally honest....not hold anything back.....and it's okay. This has helped me deal with many issues that I pushed down with food in the past. Also, I can even write what might be considered a negative blog(yes, I still have that old foe depression try and sneak up on me occasionally)and I just get encouraging words. Not like some of my so-called friends in my life. You know, I'd say that 99% of the people have had to fight the same battles that you and I both have, and they know just what to say to help over the hump. My best advice since you're just beginning.....if you had a bad meal....or a bad day......or even a bad weekend(overeating, not doing any of the things you promised yourself you would do daily)just brush yourself off the next meal/day/weekend/and go back to what you know is working! Take Care and Be Blessed!
