Good Evening

Tuesday, September 08, 2009

I hope everyone is having a good evening. I don't really have any thing to say, but have the need to eat...I'm not hungry, or tired or anything, maybe bored....but I keep thinking of brownies and chocolate.
I thought I'll post my feelings and let the world know how I feel and maybe just maybe those cravings will go away....or maybe not...
I have a list of things I do before I can eat and this is at a the top of the list, my next step is that, use my stepper for 5 minutes....if that doesn't work then I can call a friend, take a hot bath or maybe better yet get in the hot that sounds like a plan...
I'll not let my brain get control of what I poke in my sounds really nice to go soak in the hot tub, and relax and listen to my favorite music... I can self talk self out of this behavior.
Okay now share what you do when you get cravings and your not sure why?

Together we can conquer our lust for food.

1st I go and brush my teeth and then gargle

2nd, I take up my knitting because with my hands busy I can't eat

3rd if these fail, then I go upstairs to my bedroom with my water and watch TV or just go to sleep

I hope you're having a nice session in the hot tub! That sounds like a wonderful alternative for junk food. You are such an inspiration...thanks for giving me some wonderful ideas when I'm faced with the same temptations!

Good for you, Kitt! That's a great idea to make a list of things to do when the "urge" hits! I will definitely have to give it a try!

    Thanks again for sharing!!

I really appreciate your blog...I think I will try to make a list of alternative things to do before I give in to a craving. Up until now I have been relying on good old fashioned will power. But, I think your plan is fantastic. Many times if I get past the "moment", I am so pleased that I was able to resist. My list of alternatives will include:
have a glass of water or diet iced tea
    walk the dog
    take a hot bath
pick out my clothes for tomorrow
    write a blog entry
    call my sister/husband/mom/friend

    anks for the motivation!!
