Beach Body Workout... Hip Hop Abs Cardio and Last Minute Abs
Thursday, September 10, 2009
Today I dipped into my coach showcase pack from Beach Body and decided to try Hip Hop Abs. Yesterday I did the 20 minute Turbo Jam which was also new for me. The short TJ was fun, tough, and in 20 minutes I burned 231 calories. It was very athletic rather than dance oriented, like punch, kick, and jam. A very good use of the 20 minutes!
Now Hip Hop Abs...first who wouldn't want to workout with a man like Shawn T. Cauuuute! Great music too. It was pretty low impact but keeps your heart pumping. He shows you the moves in a separate dvd and also shows you slower the first round each move before going from 8 counts, to 4, to 2. All while you stay in the cardio zone. The moves were pretty easy and structured around the tucking and tilting your pelvis and contracting your abs moves that you also do in Turbo Jam. If you can dance at all, even just like dancing, you can get this down easy. I also did one of the ab workouts called last minute abs, 5 minutes. It is all standing abs-I like that! It is not easy, if you do it right, and I know it is going to help. He also teaches you how to do these moves ahead of time on another section of the dvd.
It is nice to have variety and now I do. I want to try all of my new DVD sets like Power 90, P90X, Turbo Sculpt, Slim in 6, Yoga Booty Ballet, and the other 5 or so Hip Hop Abs routines. I have so many in this pack, I will be busy and never bored. I will eventually be able to tell you my favorites. So far they are obviously Chalean Extreme and Turbo Jam-Cardio Party 3 and Fat Blaster.
Now that I am a Beach Body Coach, I can answer any questions you have about the workouts. You can take a look at my website below. If you live in the area, we could even try some together or I could lend you a dvd to try. Don't be afraid to ask, it is why I am here! www.beachbodycoach.com/l
