What is the "IT" I have been looking for?

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

I am doing a scrapbook of my weight loss journey. One of the pages is listing all the different attempts I have made over my lifetime. I am current ly reading a book I bought this spring, called "Lose It for Life", by Stephen Arterburn. (The total solution for permanent weight loss.) I have always known my success would be tied to listening to God in regards to losing weight. In fact I have tried several "Christian" approaches to weight loss. None of them have been the "IT" I have been searching for. I have only read the intro to this book, but the "IT" factor I seem to be missing, is my surrender to God in regards to this issue. I think I need to pursue this. emoticon

I always felt the IT factor was when the mist cleared and everything just made sense - something is missing for you that makes this journey complete..... you'll find it.

With God, we not only have to recognise the signals but act on them too - Believing our Body is His Temple is a lot to live up to!

Keep listening, he'll guide you - but only at a pace comfortable to you.

Good blog Gail. I thin the IT factor should be in all that we do and sometimes we forget that. Thanks for the reminder.

Isn't that the IT factor in everything. If only we could realize that.
