Rain, rain go away

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Bummer today was soooo rainy and gray. It left me feeling a little low on energy but I did get in a small amount of walking-yeah 3days in a row emoticon. I managed my eating meals better today-one day at a time one meal at a time. I seem to have found a bedtime snack that is easy and convenient to have every night and it keeps my blood sugar on an even keel. So I am a fan of the copy a meal function of the nutrition tracker. For all who don't know the nutrition tracker is my best friend! Utilizing the tracker has really helped me realize what, where, and when I am eating-good or bad!!

I really enjoyed this evening. Tonight was our first rehearsal and glimpse of music for the Madison Symphony Chorus winter concert-The Christmas Extravaganza. Wow it was amazing to be back singing and it reminded once again of my need to learn how to count. Rhythm is not my strong suit-so it will be practice, practice, practice for me. It was nice to see friends from last year and great to see the line up for the concert. Let me tell you it will be fabulous so for those of you who live in Madison or another locale in WI-get your tickets early!!

My energy seems to be beginning to fade a little. In some ways that is probably good-sleeping good for many nights in a row has its bonuses. But since it has been gloomy and cool today and my energy is zapped I just hope it is a blip in the radar and the beginning of a depression cycle. So I am on top of this and will watch it closely.
I actually LOVE the cool weather-I just miss the glorious sunshine

I am expecting another wonderful night of sleep!!

And tomorrow is another day to be lived on baby step at a time emoticon.

    Gracie,

I know this is an old blog. However, I saw the city Madison and had to comment. I was born in Amery, WI. I grew up in a little town near Hudson. The town was Roberts. I have never been to Madison. I lived 1 hour from Eau Claire and 1 hour from St. Paul, depending on traffic. I hope you are still sparking and if not, jump back in and take one day at a time. Sometimes I take one minute at a time!!

Oh, Gracie, this is the best I've heard you sound in ages. It's wonderful that your spirits are high. Keep doing whatever you need to do to take care of yourself. You're in my thoughts.

    Hugs,

Nice thought - sleeping weather. I'll try to remember that we have that fall perk. I've been sleeping like a log, too.

I feel you on the rain, Corri. There's been a lot of rain here where I am and I've had to sneak walks in between showers. I love the cooler Fall weather, it perks me up after the intensity of Summer's heat (I seem to have Reverse SAD). Too many days without sun is still a bummer, though.

You are on a roll. Keep the great work. emoticon

Send your rain to Florida, we need it!! It must be nice sining like that. I have a very bad singing voice. Even a choir wouldn't be able to hide it!

Thanks for sharing---it's great to read that you are getting results from the nutritional tracker.
How wonderful that you are in rehearsal for a Christmas Extravaganza. It makes my heart sing just to read about it!
Hope the sunshine soon returns for you! emoticon
