Daily Motivation

Saturday, September 26, 2009

As I read Day 48 from the Book "100 Days of weight loss" I begin to realize that is is hard work...choosing each meal to make healthy choices, plan each meal so it's healthy yet, satisfying....
Linda Spangle has some get tips in this book and her book "Life is Hard Food is easy"

I have been with Spark People about 3.5 years and have lost 186 pounds, that seems almost impossible to me....I still look each day to find new tips new ideas and new ways to eat healthy yet get motivated....I have some really good day and some not so good day...
In the last two days of reading the daily motivation I have learned that you have to stop making excuses for why your putting food in your mouth, You need to be positive with all your thoughts, think of what went right, what did you do to ensure you are on track.
Make yourself accountable, stop thinking why YOU Can't eat healthy and start thinking why and how you are going to eat healthy....stop making excuse why you can't exercise, start thinking of ways to get more exercise even if you can't have formal exercise everyday.
Things like taking the steps, parking further, marching in place, walking to the store, take 10 minutes from your break and walk , do deep knee bends, take a stretchy band to work ...what ever it takes, you have to do it......no excuses...I'm thinking most of us live on excuses...
I'm working on my goals for October and one thing I'll work on is making what I do be positive, stop thinking what could have ben better, and think what I did that was right, good , healthy and what makes me happy and proud of myself....

I have 6 more pounds to reach my goal weight, I know the last pounds are the hardest but I'm going to start each day with what I can do to make sure I reach my goal.....
the power of positive thinking... we can change our lives, if we stop making excuses and become accountable for our actions in a positive way....

WE CAN DO THIS...... emoticon

    Sounds like a great book.
You never cease to amaze me, I find
something new to think about in every blog you write.
    Thank you so much.
Another good thing I do is when watching my favourite
TV show, I get up and do some form of exercise through
    every commercial.

Keep up the good work, the journey is never over!

Lordy Kitt, you always seem to hit it with me! I really needed to read this today, since I am feeling rather low. Also, thx for the title of the book, I'm going to look for it.

You are an amazing woman, you kept it up through daily living and only 6 lbs. to go. Remember that we are making small changes that will have a huge difference in our life.

I really love your idea about thinking forward instead of looking back -- This will be my reflection point for tomorrow. Thanks for posting -- I am so inspired by your journey. Wishing you the best as you discard those last few pounds.
