Colds Are Evil.

Colds are evil. Ok... not serial killer evil, or genocide evil... but completely sucky and wrong, nonetheless. Nothing like catching the common cold to throw a wrench in the works of a week or so. I was going strong: following my meal and fitness plans to the letter... only to end up spending the majority of this last week laid out on the couch, with sinuses that felt like they were being drilled, and not doing much at all besides playing around on the laptop, reading and watching movies. The good news is that I didn't gain... or at least not more than a pound. It's disappointing, certainly. But it's also not a major setback, so I can't let it become one just 'cuz I'm feeling frustrated over it (it didn't help that the running shoes I'd ordered are no longer available in my size so now I have to go back in and get re-fit. Sigh... ).
So, this week: back on track!! Now that Fall is here and it's starting to cool down a bit (last week and today notwithstanding) - and now that I'm feeling better - my energy levels are cranking up and my motivation to workout is reaching its natural high point. I intend to take advantage of that! My goal for October is to lose 5 pounds.
