An expression or idea that has lost its originality or force through overuse cliché...an American cliché.
I've been wallowing in self pity lately...lost a good friend...pulled muscles in both knees getting into swimming pool...caught flu...heater went out during ice storm....yada yada yada. I keep thinking that my life has become an American cliche of all the things that can go wrong...loss of job due to illness...loss of medical insurance...gain of medical bills,,,forclosure..death in family...death of friends/mentors...morbidly obese...yada yada yada.
LET GO already...boy that trickster can creep in when your body isn't feeling up to par! Great news though, I started feeling better! WOW what a difference! I started my 'belly dancing' without hurting knees too bad. I am not under blankets and chilling. I even cooked soup (homemade minnestrone). So, enough of the pity party!
These SoulCollage cards helped me identify my latest fears...
DATE: October 12, 2009
CARD NAME: American Cliché
SUIT: Committee
CORE MEANING OR ENERGY:
An expression or idea that has lost its originality or force through overuse… therefore becoming one of the many… common.
1. Who are you and what do you have to give me?
I am one who is labeled for my physical condition. I am one who is grouped into the common cliché of obesity. I am one who is denied medical coverage. I am one who is pre-existing.
2. What do you want from me?
Become the unique, beautiful individual that you are. Go beyond the cliché into the true picture of wellness.
3. How will I remember?
When I connect with my support groups (Sparkling Angels) I will remember how truly unique I am. When I exercise I will embrace my beauty of movement.
SHADOW: Don’t ignore the serious nature of medical conditions, be proactive and improve your health. Don’t allow lack of money to halt your progress.
