Snakes and bad habits

Like that title. I went for my walk/jog/run yesterday. Well, I came across three copperhead snakes on my walk. It was cold yesterday so it seemed odd. I live in the country so it is not too unusual to see snakes on my walks but three of them on a cold day. They were slow moving so I was not worried. I believe they are looking for a place to hibernate but they did catch my attention. Okay, now you ask what does snakes have to do with bad habits. Nothing, I just did not know which one to write about so I combined them in this blog. Actually, I was thinking of so many things on my walk. My dog and cat were trying to follow me on my walk again. I did not want the old dog or the cat to follow me so I ran to lose them before I got very far from home. I ran for almost 1/2 mile. I started thinking: Wow, that felt good. I could not believe I did it. So I kept walking and running. After a couple miles of this, I started thinking: I can't do this. I'm too old for this. My knees won't like this. You know, all that defeatist attitude stuff. This week our challenge is to work on bad habits. I started thinking about my bad habit of allowing that defeatist attitude to take over. So I decided, I am going to work on doing the I can do it attitude instead.
