After we left the Lodge, we decided to visit a new winery. We have been to many of the wineries in the area. Unfortunately very few are open on Tuesday. Our waitress on Monday night gave us a paper listing many of the local wineries along with their hours. She did let us know that this newer winery was open on Tuesday.
We got there a little after noon. They used to be a farm market and have now renovated the main building into a winery. They have some wonderful fruit wines. The bottles for the fruit wines were painted by a local artist. I had to try all the fruit wines along with some of the traditional ones. All the samples were about an ounce. We went home with one bottle of Merlot and one bottle of Blackberry Wine. I also tried a piece of their cake which is also baked with a sweet wine. On the weekends they have apple fritters and homemade doughnuts. I guess my waistline should be grateful they didn't have the apple fritters as I love them.
In the pictures below I have included one of the sign that show's which includes other wineries and the distance from this one.

You know, I don't drink, but I love wine tastings. I always learn new things! This place has such rustic charm. I hope you had fun! 4097 days ago

I love touring wineries and love Blackberry Wine. The winery in Kansas near where my I grew up has a Blackberry Merlot Wine and they sell out every year. They also make a great Christmas Wine which they sell out of every year. The Winery is called The Smokey Hill Winery.
Here is the link but you will have to copy and paste.
