Today's challenge is to talk about how we deal when we have problems reaching our goals or deal when things are not going well.
I have to admit that when things are challenging I tend to stress eat. I have been trying to do better with that by drinking more water and less alcohol and reaching for healthy snacks when I feel the need to eat such as dried fruit and nuts, fruit, popcorn, etc instead of ice cream and sweets.
We have had a few difficult times in our family this year. One of the major things I did was to reach out to others for help. I called some of my best friends to help me deal with the pain. I also reached out here on SP by my blogs, emails, or posts on friend's pages. In the past it's been difficult for me to ask for help as I was used to helping others in my role as a counselor and supervisor of counselors. I'm learning that asking for help does help. My friends have been there for me!
I'm also turning more to prayer. I realize I can't do things by myself and need God's help to get me through difficult times.
