It is 3 weeks since i underwent a vertical sleeve gastroectomy, this is where the surgeon removed 3/4 of my stomach, i don't have any regrets now but i did at the beginning as i was in a lot of pain but that was just for a couple of days, now i feel much better have lost 26 lbs in 3 weeks i am on liquids only for the first 3 weeks and then i can go onto pureed foods for a further 3 weeks, i have no hunger what so ever and as my stomach is very small now i can only manage very small amounts between 60-80 ml of liquid, i do try to drink water through out the day to stop being dehydrated although it is not easy to drink so much to stop dehydration.
I am taking a A-Z vitamin with iron daily and i have been told that i will need to have vitamin b12 injections every 3 months for the rest of my life, but to be slim and know that i will never be fat again outweigh that i am very happy so far and can only think that i will become more happy as the weight disappear, i have started back exercising albeit slowly and as i get stronger and can exercise more the weight should come off even quicker i am averaging around 1 lb a day at the moment.
So far so good will come back when there is more news.
