I have been baking most of the day, and then getting things in the freezer..
I have to make a comment about yesterdays blog.
The ladies who made the rude comments about the large couple are heavy people them selves, each of them need to loose more than 50 pounds a 2 need to loose more than 100 pounds. one of the girls called to say she was sorry but did not think it was that big of a deal as she knows people laugh at her when she is out in public.....I asked her "so that gives you the right to be rude.....I wonder what you said about me or for that matter what you say about me now.....she hung up.....another lesson learned...not only skinny people are rude to heavy people....
Thanks to everyone who replied.....I send Sparkpeople cards to the ladies in side there Christmas cards...
Kitt-- put it aside now I think people who make fun have insecurities too.. they do not love them selves.. You are now where you need to be in your life so be happy and enjoy -You will always run into people like this --feel sorry for them too as I said they do not love themselves...
You are the best Kitt! Remember You are a Winner! Jo 3631 days ago
Kitt, not only do I respect what you stand for, I also stand behind you in your decision in how you handled this, should you need anyone to stand with you, but it sounds like you have everything under control. : ) Karma is a wonderful thing, Kitt, and you got yourself some major Karma. You had said in a past blog or post, that you call your pre-SparkPeople days as your past life, or other life. (now I wish I had found what you said before I posted! lol) These ladies were part of your past, and you just found that they really don't have a part to play in your new life, the one you worked so hard to build. It is a natural process for people to come and go in our lives. But no one said that process was an easy one. Big hugs for you! 3631 days ago
How sad that she acknowledges people probably laugh about her in public but she doesn't think it's that big of a deal. A false bravado maybe? Well you took the high road and I'm proud of you. I stood up to a co-worker who told a racial joke at work a few years back and she never liked me after that. Fortunately we kept it between us, but I was prepared to go to the boss if I had to. She finally quit and moved on. If we don't ever stand up for what's right then change won't occur. Joanne 3631 days ago
Just read your blog from yesterday. I am so proud of you for standing up to those women. I like to think I would have done the same, but I'm not sure I would have had the guts. Unfortunately, many people who are insecure with themselves love to put others down in an effort to feel better about themselves.
I agree wholeheartedly with one of the people who responded yesterday...those women will probably be ugly inside forever.
Hi, I just went back to read your blog from yesterday. I'm so glad that you spoke up, but I'm not sure if I could've done that. I would hope that I would, but I don't know. I have been the recipient of many rude comments in my lifetime. I used to weigh 332 pounds and am only 5 feet tall. Eating at restaurants was always an issue. I always felt like the waitresses were making comments about what I ordered. Thank you for taking a stand.
P.S. Congratulations on your weight loss!! 3631 days ago
I will have to go read your yesterdays blog, but yes, I know several people with weight problems, who feel they need to make fun of other overweight people, Ok off to read the blog I missed 3632 days ago
