Happiness is sewing

Yesterday started out as a "for me" day. I planned on locking myself in my sewing room and sewing all day. I got all set up when I had a knock on my door. "Mima, can we come in and watch?" Hesitantly, I invited both granddaughters, age 6 and 8 into my room. It wasn't long before they were checking out all of my fabrics and goodies. "Boy, would we love to try to sew". I figured they would lose interest immediately and leave me to my sewing. I set up the first machine and the Julia's eyes lit up. She went to town sewing lines of designs. Then I set up my other machine for Emma. She, too, pressed the buttons trying out all of the designs. They sewed for hours while I watched! To see the smiles on their faces was priceless! I can always sew another day.
