Final countdown to the Big Move

You guys probably don't know this but I work for the US government overseas. Its a great opportunity and I love living in Germany. Very safe and clean environment. Only thing is you don't stay anywhere very long. So now, after 4 years of living in my very rural/farming community area I have to move to a BIG CITY. I have to report to my new job on 1st of March of this year. Yes, less than a month away.

Good thing is the government sends folks in to pack up EVERYTHING for you. If they break anything they pay. Its great. Downside is I have to stay in a hotel with my three cats and my dog until I find a house to rent. That could take at least a month. So this is going to be a challenge.

Luckily the gym is on the corner of the street where I will be working so I will have NO excuses for not going.

Right now I'm going through the stress of deciding what I can do without for a month or more and what I have to pack up in my little station wagon and haul with me among the suitcases, dog and cat beds/food/carriers/bowls, etc. So the lists get longer and longer.

Just getting a little madness out of my head onto paper...or the wire..whatever! emoticon

    Just called, yes to the kitchenette in my apartment/hotel. That is a relief. And she says the kitchen is stocked with utensils, cookware, etc. That is even better, less to have to lug around. No oven though, but a microwave. But that's ok, I really don't cook in the oven and the Foreman and the microwave will do.

    It can be stressful, but I try not to sweat the little stuff. Besides I come home from the gym so beat that stressing has no way into my brain :)

    I really try not to worry about things over which I have no control. Those things I can control I plan for and that way I don't have to worry about them right? Right!!!

    The rest, the Man Upstairs takes care of and He's done a great job so far and I suspect He will continue to do so. emoticon

    I got an apartment/hotel type thingy and am going to call to see what the set up is like. One thing for sure...my George Foreman is traveling with me. I grill everything on that sucker, from fish to steaks. I'll update once I know what I have available in the apartment. If not much I foresee my car being packed with a bunch of stuff LOL... emoticon

    Sounds stressful. Will you have a kitchenette in your hotel room so you can be in better control of your meals?
