5 Pounds Gone Forever!

Well I have been following the program for 1 ful week today! This is very different than my previous attempts at weight loss. I actually feel as if I can do this!

By far the nutritional tracker has been the most valuable tool for me. I didn't realize just how much I was eating before. Also I am so much more aware of what I am putting into my mouth.

Here are a few things I have committed to doing to lose.

1. ALWAYS stay within my calorie range. I try and stay right in the middle, but allow myself to hit the high end once a week. This allows for a special treat if I want one. I simply adjust my meals for the day if I am going high.

2. I have committed to AT LEAST 20 minutes of cardio a day. I have not even started strength training yet, that will come. For now I am focusing on getting my heart rate up for at least 20 minutes a day, but find that I am motivated to go on to 30-40. By commiting to 20 I am not setting myself up for failure.

3. Eating High Fiber-In my nutritional tracker I entered fiber as a goal I feel MUCH more satisfied eating a higher fiber diet. If I cant get there through food, I add Benefiber supplements to my day to hit my goal.

My jeans are already looser! Amazing. My 12's are not snug anymore.

Well these are the 3 mini goals for me, for now.

This week I am going to put together my collage.

More big snow coming. I am planning on heading out in the snow to snow shoe.
Putting up pics weekly as I progress.

    Great Job, Amy! 5 pounds in one week is great! I was slow getting started but am getting into it. I have been exercising, ugh, and I really like the nutrition tracker. AMazing how quick things add up. Keep up the good work, I know you can do it. emoticon

    Mardelle, what really helped me was to go to the 'spark points' page. Click on my tools on the upper left, then click on sparkpoints. I use that as a kind of check list. Has really helped me tremendously.

    I am a bit obsessive. Spent hours the first day I signed up trying to figure it all out LOL.
