When losing weight feels bad

Before joining Sparkpeople, I tried dieting on my own. I lost 7 pounds! Great, right? Wrong. I looked back on the 7 pounds and felt terrible. Here I was losing weight but I felt tired and depressed. I discovered that diet is a 4 letter word. It means depriving your self and the biggest motivator is guilt.
On January 20, 2010, I discovered Sparkpeople. Now I don't diet, I live healthy. Since joining I have lost 12 pounds, but more importantly I have energy and enjoy life more. The best part is I don't feel guilty or like I'm depriving myself. All that change with the first 12 pounds. Just think how I will feel when I reach my goal.
