That's What Friends Are For

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Well today is one month since I have been with my new man. Strange thing...the other one is being super nice to me now. We have to be a team for our organizations that we are both head of. Today he even brought me milk since he was already at Wal-Mart. Tonight we get installed in our offices so it's a party. I was nervous about him coming over here...but I didn't feel anything. That's progress. I am happy that the other woman can't be part of my group until July. She doesn't qualify. Even if she does still decide to join I'm not gonna let her ruin my organization. I joined the Moose and I like it. It's so laidback and easy to get through a meeting...Jack & I are very happy....it's very freeing not to deal with all the other aggravation. I found this quote in an e-mail and it sure rings true. I feel so much better already!!!

“Sometimes you have to let everything go—purge yourself. If you are unhappy with anything—whatever is bringing you down—get rid of it. Because you will find that when you are free, your true creativity, your true self comes out.”

— Tina Turner

Celebrate, be joyful, and de-clutter....I know I am a little every day.

Hugs to all!

You can (and do from the sounds of it!) think you moved up by going with the new man! He sounds like a much better fit for you and maybe you were only meant to be friends with the other one. It's like breaking up with a co-worker when you have to work with him on some of the volunteer things, though - and will be so much easier if you are all friends.

My dad always said "it takes 2 to tango" meaning the "partner" had to be willing when they're with someone else. You found someone better from the sounds of it and sometimes it's not the woman although being able to exclude her can really make you feel a little power over the situation, can't it? Good luck.
