5k and plateau

soo...I was hesitant to post this but I will be running my first 5 k.My friend just let me know last week she wants to do it and Im not a runner but I decided to join her.
I am not stressing over my food anymore as I was before.I am eating more carbs and focusing on clean eating and keeping my protein up.
I can do this-my plan is to run /walk 3 times a week on top of my regular workouts.Hopefully that will help with my plateau ??
and I also resumed using my body bugg !

    I recently trained for my first 5k, started off on the tmill at the gym but made great progress when I moved to running outside. I love running now! Good luck and have fun!

    don't let it scare you, i use to HATE running and i actually just ran my first half marathon this morning!!! 2 hrs 24 minutes of running, even a year ago i couldn't have imagained i could ever be capable of such a feat!

    Hey girl, I'm proud fo you for taking on this new fitness adventure! Trying something new (running) will definitely shock your body and I bet it'll help bust your plateau. But regardless of the scale, you're going to feel GREAT!

    Hi Natilie! Thanks for the comment. I haven't exactly been gone....just usually only have time to pop in real quick on the weekends...if that. It was good catching up on all the blogs that I've missed. I'm afraid a daily buddy...well, I would really let them down since "daily" just isn't working out for me, being consistent that is.

    Enough about me though. LOVE that you are going to run a 5k!! What a nice thing for you to do for your friend. Maybe in the process you'll discover a love of running? Good luck to you!

    I think not stressing about food will help ease the emotional eating. The more I try to eliminate and cut out the worse I get when it comes to binging. Instead focusing on eating clean, getting those 5-6 mini meals a day, and upping protein will definitely help you make progress. This kind of progress might be slower but it's more likely to stick longer!

    I was sooo nervous before my first 5K - actually I've been soooo nervous before EVERY race! (I've only been in 5.) It's huge motivation but I find it stressful...best of luck!!
