For All You Grammas Out There

Friday, March 19, 2010

My grand-daughter is 2-1/2 and has started talking like she is much, much older. She can also talk with more volume than is really needed! Last Friday, she was with me in a local Discount Store. She had to use the restroom and when she says that, I know to find it NOW because she always waits till the last minute. We arrived at the restroom to find all but 1 of the stalls filled. When she was finished, I took my turn. While sitting there, she grabbed both of my hands, and in her VOICE said, "I will hang on to your hands, Gramma, so you don't fall in." (Now, I wouldn't be involved with SP if there was any danger of that ever happening!!!) I could hear muffled laughter coming from both of our neighboring stalls and when we came out of ours, there were people who were just waiting to see us. We all had a good laugh, which I try to do at least once a day. Thanks, Elizabeth, for that one.

I really enjoyed this. You have so many great memories already about her & she is only 2 1/2--I'm sure she will bring you many more!

As Paul Harvery used to say "And the rest of the story is...."
This is so cute, love the innocent helpfulness of small children. Just wish their voices were small sometimes.
