Happy Happy Day!

Ok it's been a little while since my last post, mostly because I've been busy volunteering with hockey. We are finished now. Not looking forward to the withdrawal, LOL, but now it's time for some "ME TIME".
I had a wonderful evening at my TOPS Awards Night. We always meet at a local restaurant and have a room all to ourselves. There are almost 40 members in my Chapter. This is my second year as Assistant Weight Recorder and my 11th year as a member. We have division winners, depending on what your start weight is. I remember being a division winner once and after I sat there tonight, clapping and cheering for everyone else, I thought to myself "what am I doing down here? I need to be up THERE!". There is nothing more motivating than watching others take awards for their efforts and me going home with nothing.
Now, don't get me wrong, it's not about the gifts. For me it is about the recognition. I enjoy having people cheer for me, which is why I am very happy to be part of Sparkpeople. I have never found such motivation in my 11 years as a TOPS member (mind you, my mother is sooo supportive, and our leader - she does a lot for the Chapter and doing good for others is helping her too). I am very proud of my mother and she keeps me motivated.
So......other than to hit the gym tomorrow (which I am dreading), my goal is to keep doing what I'm doing.......keep sharing wonderful blogs with my new friends here.......and to keep people motivated. When I help someone else, it feels great. Then I want to do more for myself.
We're all in this together, one day at a time, one pound at a time. It will be interesting to see where I'm at by the end of June. I'm looking forward to it!
Take care, have a great week, and let's see you "lighter" next Monday :)
