Saturday, In The Park ..

Well, it wasn't the fourth of July
But it WAS a BEAUTIFUL day. Sun shining, which normally I don't care for b/c of the migraines, and lots of fresh air.
Actually, today was a FULL day for me. It's been a LONG time since I've done the things we did. First of all DH and I went to a MALL (I do NOT "do" malls ...) up in Lexington and walked all over the 120+ stores. SO MANY PEOPLE! I was a total nervous wreck. BUT it was all good. I didn't have a panic attack (which I normally DO with that many people) so that's a bonus! We had Gyros (found out they're pronounced like EUROS - you know, the European money exchange?)
We came back to the hotel and picked up Benji so we could meet up with Jewelry_Lady and her family at the park (yep, Saturday, In The Park!) where we had some really great steaks that her hubby grilled up, baked sweet potatoes and fresh grapes and strawberries. We were there chatting it up for about 3 hours - ME! IN THE PARK! FOR THREE HOURS!?!?! Yep! That's something I really just never do. But it was GOOD! Fact is, I felt as if we'd all known each other for a LONG time, not just having met everyone!
Benji tried out the dog park for his 3rd and 4th times now. He does pretty good for an old dude - LOL Those adolescent dogs kind of startle him. LOL
So at the end of the day I looked in the mirror and my eyes are alert, my skin tanning and I feel HAPPY.
