Facebook? More like In Your Facebook.

I was talked into joining Facebook last year. I loved it for about 5 minutes. I admit, I do like some of the games, but I try not to waste too much time on them.
The thing I don't understand is why people feel the need to post each little detail of their day. I just shake my head, when I read posts such as:
"Going to work now."
"The baby just burped."
or worse:
"I am going to the doctor to see if I am fertile this month, because my hubby and I want kids, but he's out of work and my cat just died so I am seeing a psychiatrist to get over my depression..." etc.
Okay, that last one was exaggeration, but you all know people who post things like this!
Now, if all those facebook friends were real friends, they would know most of your concerns already and you'd go do lunch, have wine, conversation and in general, just feel better together. I guess I am just old fashioned. I don't like my business posted. I don't really like to change my status on SP.
There was a saying about 100 years ago.
"A lady is the the papers 3 times in her life. Birth, Marriage, Death."
Works for me.
