WOW! I finally know what it's like to have an AHA! moment!
I have been struggling with my slow weight loss( around one pound or less a week)and getting very discouraged everytime I step on the scale.Instead of being thrilled it was one more pound that I hoped to never see again. So, I began researching diet programs that would speed up this weight loss and I know they're out there. I was on one where I lost over 60 lbs. But I gained it all back and then some. That company has since gone out of business.
This morning one of my teammates sent me an article from Jillian Michaels "Ouit Yo-Yo Dieting and Get Real Results". It was like it was speaking to me and answering all those questions I had been asking myself.
Always wanting to get results fast I was missing the big picture!I forgot all about the Tortoise and the Hare! Slow and steady win the race! Sure you can find those fad diets that take off the weight faster but at what cost to your health in the long run? Been there, done that, have the t-shirt!
My new mission is eating the good-for-me foods in the right amounts with exercise of course. (No dieting , just good health.) My goal weight is a little further out there now but, when I reach it I know I'll be the healthier for it.
