Lane Bryant Ad Banned...

Some TV channels have banned a Lane Bryant underwear ad, saying it showed too much cleavage. To their credit, Fox will be airing the commercial during American Idol. Lane Bryant is alleging that since networks air Victoria's Secret ads with no apologies, the reason the ads were pulled was because networks were nervous showing bigger size models actually living normal lives (I think one gets a date--imagine that! Impossible right?). You can see the ad on YouTube--I guess search under Lane Bryant underwear.
I hate that this society expects us to apologize for our weight if we are not bone thin. I've started reading more about fat acceptance.
Also reading "Rethinking Thin: The New Science of Weight Loss--and the Myths and Realities of Dieting". Basically, I think all diets might take weight off but if you don't get down to the core issues, you'll never keep it off. That's why I'm reading so much about emotional eating. I want to eat what I want when I want it and not fear myself sabotaging myself (as I've said recently, ad nauseum). Luckily, it seems to be working.
