Feeling better every day....

but not sleeping too well at night yet. This dog-gone UNDERGARMENT they make you wear is going to be my ticket to the funny farm! I have been given permission to remove it at night but really feel I need a transitional garment. However, after two trips to the mall, everything I've purchased has been equally uncomfortable. I'm giving it one more try today; gonna return what I got yesterday and try ONE MORE STYLE of "spanx-like" garment and if that doesn't work I'm giving up.

My tummy is so tight; it has a side benefit of making me UNABLE to eat very much at one sitting! As a result I have lost MORE WEIGHT and am at my final goal! YAY for that. Now I just gotta figure out how to STAY there.

I'm so glad my oldest daughter is back from her school trip (two nights away) safe and sound. I try not to be over protective; after all, she is a GREAT kid and she will be leaving for college (ACK!!) in a few years. But I'm a Momma....

Youngest daughter has decided to right a play script based on "Bridge to Teribithia" so she can star in it at our local community theater. The whole weekend she's been holed up in her room, pounding it out on her laptop! Too funny....

Gonna go make my weekly pot of soup!

So glad you are recovering so well and at ultimate goal emoticon !! I still have 85 lbs to lose and can't find an undergarment that feels comfortable. I can only imagine what it must feel like after surgery..ugh! Keep looking though..if it's critical to healing and making your surgery a complete success!
As for being an over protective MOM...We are all over protective if the definition is that we worry about our kids when they are not with us. My YOUNGEST daughter is going to be 27 in May. She is currently on tour with Universal Studio's "Curious George Live". She travels around the eastern United States in a bus. She has encountered tornadoes, flooding, ice storms and hurricanes over the last 10 months. She's been told to call, text, email or FB me whenever she's in an area that makes the news because I will have a nervous breakdown if she doesn''d think with three girls all over the age of 26, that I would be over that...but I'm not and truly believe I never will be. That same daughter has lived in New York City for the last 3 years while pursuing her dream of becoming an actress (which you now know she has achieved). The first 2 years were a nightmare for me. I made three trips a year back to NY just to make sure she wasn't lying about the neighborhood she'd moved to or the friends she was running with. Is that crazy? I say no, but my daughters and husband disagree. I'll bet the mom's on this site would totally side with me, right? As the mom of a performing artist, I wish you and your daughter the best of luck. I think it's great that she is taking her craft so serious and finding a way to put herself in the role she wants...very ambitious. She'll do well. It's a highly competitive field. It takes a great deal of moxy to make a career out of it. It is a lot of fun though...not just for the performer but for the family as well. There is nothing as cool as going to a theatre and seeing your child's face and name on the marquee, playbill and posters! Then there's the awesome reviews in which your child's name appears as a standout performer...well I sure went off on a tangent. I'm not only an overprotective Mom, I am a proud one too!
Back to you. You are doing so awesome. I'm very interested in your healing progress and feelings toward the surgeries you opted for. I'm sure, after 180 lbs, I'm going to require a crane to lift all my parts and skin from my ankles back up to the respective places!
