May's Commitments

Hello everyone! I have put a lot of thought into my goals for May, and I am excited to get the ball rolling. I am hoping to see more good things to come this month, so wish me luck!

-Do first 5K (doing Jay Dix for Cancer 5K May 8th)
-Take my vitamin EVERYDAY (using phone alarm as reminder)
-Cook at least 1x/week -I love cooking, I often just have a hard time fitting it into my schedule.
-No binge drinking until Vegas (the last week of May). This is going to take a LOT of willpower. Oh how I love my booze. In my mind, binge drinking is anything over 3 drinks..
-Do an outdoor activity at least 1x/week (weather permitting)
-Do an ab circuit 4x/week (I have everything to do this at home, so I can do it on my own time)
-Remember protein shake AT LEAST 4x/week (hopefully each day I work out as this is my hardest nutrient to meet the goal on)
-STOP Biting Nails!!

That is it as far as my goals, and it is A LOT. I don't expect to be perfect, but I want to really try to commit to these goals. Therefore I have written them down on a piece of paper to have with me, and am going to add them to a note in my phone. This is a commitment to MYSELF and is worth every effort. I want to get that hot bod, I want to feel stronger and more confident, I want to surprise myself yet again!

I made myself a workout schedule for the month yesterday that I am pretty pleased with. There are no two days a week that I do the same thing, and that way I stay interested. I may have to do a little tweeking though. I have a friend that is wanting me to work out with her on Thursdays/Fridays so she can get back into a routine. This sucks because I already have another friend I am wanting to commit time to once I have more free time (next week is finals week!! Yay!!). But, I want to help everyone I can. If I can spend Saturdays walking with Candace, and Thursdays/Fridays tweek my work out to help out another friend, I would be so pleased! Gaining real world experience and it would probably help me decide if I really want to get into personal training before I start the program next year. It just sounds like I may be taking on a little more than necessary. We shall see.. If nothing else, I can help Jess look at the areas in her life she needs improvement such as diet, amount of movement, etc.

    Way to go! Planning is half the battle! Good luck with the drinking. That's my downfall too. Keep us updated on how things are going!
