I'm proud of Myself

this morning when I did not want to get up and exercise I thought of a dozen reasons why I should stay in bed.....a few of my reasons were, I tired, darn I'm tired....I have exercised a lot already this week....I deserve a day of rest....holy cow I'm 57 and i should be able to stay in bed i f I want too......but for some reason my brain said, you get your sleepy 57 year old tired butt out of this bed and get your workout clothes on...my body listens....so I got on my exercise clothes and went and got my water, got on my exercise bike and started my warm up, then got in the zone, rode got 63 minutes went 14 miles, was sweaty and feeling like a new women..... emoticon emoticon emoticon.....

I'm telling you this because I'm proud of myself for getting out of bed and doing what I know is the right thing for me to DO...when I exercise I always have a good day, it makes me realize I'm a live and healthy......

Then I got on SparkPeople and read a great blog by Coach Nicole....called "Habits of a fit People: Don't make exercise excuses" darn did coach Nicole know I was struggling this morning...it's really a very good blog with a lot of useful information, tips and ideas of getting your exercise .......then holy cow again emoticon emoticon my brain got a spark, I'm a fit person...me , that's right me Kitt52(AKA Beverly) is a fit person.....I do most of what she talked about..... I am now doubly proud of me...... emoticon

It seems I really am on a healthy lifestyle track....it seems a bit easier when things are going well...eating healthy is almost automatic here at home and I still can have some issues when I have to eat away from home but I still make healthy choices, I no longer think about bad day's of eating or cheating ...
I know I can eat what ever I want in moderation and not all on the same day.....all the small tricks I have learned here on sparkpeople and from friends on sparkpeople really do work, if you do them, maybe not the first time but like most everything you have to work at it, if at first you don't succeed try try again, sooner or later you will find the right combination to your healthy life....


oops I sure went off today...
any way it has been a good day, tonight's dinner is baked chicken with broccoli salad and apple sauce....all my favorites...

have a healthy week end...
