want suggestions HOW TO advice

Friday, April 30, 2010

Very stressed. It has been a bad day with a lot of chaos and screaming. I am trying to take it one moment at a time and I am safely locked in my room with my dogs. It is one of "those " days. He is on a rant and having volcanic eruptions. Tomorrow we meet with attorney again, pay all the necessary fees which will leave each of us very short for the month and take the first class towards bankruptcy. That is if he doesn't have a total melt down.

I am making plans for the next step and trying to find housing out of the area that I can afford and also take my roots with me. I have stated before that I'd like to stay in Ca, don't want to take another DMV test. Hated that. I am looking for a small quiet town that is close enough to the coast to be cool. Not an ocean fan I just can't handle the heat . Currently in the central part of the state. I have never traveled and have no clue as too where to look.
criteria Need
small yard area for rotts. Only ask for this in case I get ill and can't take them out daily.
be able to live on 1300.00 a month that includes rent, food everything Tough challenge.
want moderate weather due to health issues
dog friendly area with dog parks or trails.
love low hills, trees, streams and green area. Haven't dealt with snow since a child and would have health problems in heavy snow areas.
I am not computer smart and have been trying to find things on craigslist .Any other suggested sights or ways to go about this??????????????????
Still goal setting and taking steps forward. Meet with neurologist and ortho surgeon this month to try and get knee surgery done before I leave if possible. Surgeons schedule take at least two months and bankruptcy should be completed and behind me. After paper work is filed and the first court date I plan to meet with another attorney about separation and protecting my rights legally.
Spark People have always helped me with advice and support before don't let me down now! Thank you and blessings and good wishes to all. emoticon

Hello, I have been where you are right now. It is not an easy place to be in. Scared too? The town you are in must have an agency that can help you, I found help in my town , even the Salvation Army had contacts that I used to find a place to live, food, clothing, furniture, etc. Is there a Displaced Homemaker program for you? Social Services can put you onto some things that are available. Make some phone calls, and see what you can find out, Most places are helpful when you tell then your story. I will keep you on my prayer list. God Bless. ((HUGS))

I wish there were words I could type that would comfort you. If you have an idea of the area you want to settle in, you can google a realtor for that area. They can sometimes tell you what's available for rent.

I am certainly supporting you in everything you are planning to do my friend. You are going through a lot of very difficult changes with the bankruptcy, the operation and the move to a different area all in such a short space of time.

I know how difficult things are at home for you and am pleased you have a "safe place" to be with the rotts. Take time to find a good place for you to move to permanently if possible. I know this is more difficult with dogs (at least it is over here) but finding somewhere you really like will save moving again in the future.

Wishing you the very best in reaching your goals.

    Hugs Wispy.

    Hi there,

Do you have an agency or a group in your area that does any type of outreach? I amnot sure how to tell you to proceed, but if you were here, I'd connect you up with the outreach director at our church. She has the connections in our area to help get people connected to resources like food and housing needs. Your situation is going to be trickier with finding a place for your rotts, so I am betting that having assistance is going to be really important. Another thought would be any agencies for the "elderly." I would try any group with expertise in outreach and get their support. Try using your phone book and see what might be available around you and make a contact.

I am so sorry that you are having a bad day and I wish that I could be with you to absorb some of that anger. Please stay calm and safe...keep posting if that helps. You deserve somuch better than this. emoticon emoticon emoticon
