Filling the lamp

I was battle weary tonight and decided to return some videos just to get a change of scenery. I asked God to help me in the areas where prayers weren't answered and I thought I was being so wise (most likely in my own eyes). Then, I drove in the driveway, turned off the van and looked at my Garmen (my husband left me this when he got a new one for his business). Because I had turned the car off, it said, "External Power lost" and it hit me...the Holy Spirit is the POWER of God manifest in us...the power to love, the power to endure, the power to reflect His awesomeness in our lives. Without that time spent with Him and putting myself out there to receive from others the Word, I am like my Garmen when the car is shut off, and a better illustration is when it is unplugged, you also see the "External Power Lost" message. THEN, there is the option of running on batteries (sort of like one's own strength, and those batteries cannot be charged without some external power.
What is my body? It is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Tonight I am going to begin a new quest: to energize my body in this time of my life when pain/stiffness/numbness in the extremeties are constant. I will work hard to see that I do it with healthy things, like water, protein, good supplements and rest.
I got on Facebook tonight to send a message to the pastor's wife to find out the time and read something someone posted from a pastor that when we pray, we need to say, "Your will be done." When we reach that point, we can go about when prayer is unanswered and continue in joy.
