Fridays, how I love thee

Yay, it's Friday! My challenge to myself today is to ACTUALLY work out twice. I tell myself I am going to somewhat often, but it doesn't usually work out. I want to run with my BF and then do my kettlebell routine once I get home. Exciting.

I am glad to report that the evening classes I am having to take the next 10 weeks happen to take place across the road from one of my gym's branches! Yay! Went straight there after my initial meeting yesterday, and had an awesome work out. The gym is a little less up to date than mine, but it also had very few customers while I was there which was sweet. I couldn't figure out how to do my sprint circuits on the treadmill properly, so I ended up doing 1.5 minutes speed walking (4.1 MPH/13% incline) then 1.5 minute running (7.7 MPH/9% incline), back and forth. I usually do 30 sec sprint/60 second walk, so it was pretty intense! Definitely feeling it in my legs today.

Last night was date night for me and the man, which was nice. We went to Ingredient (YUM) for dinner, and I got an awesome half grilled chicken on sweet leaf salad that was the size of a whole salad anywhere I have ever been, and I ate half of it. :) I also ate a cup of their potato soup which was to die for. Then we went and saw Iron Man 2 (ehh.. it was cool looking, just a little too much shoved into the story line). Then we went to Sparky's which is the BEST ice cream I have ever had. They make it right there, and they do crazy flavors based upon requests. I am in love with their cookies and cream ice cream. So I splurged a little, extra 100 calories. Nothing I can't take care of today. :)

    You have the right idea, work out (1st), make time for family and friends, splurge as bit however within moderation! No looking back for you! Keep focused and get that workout time in twice, wow! Keep on, keeping! emoticon
