Body Gospel ? ? ?

First let me start by saying that I do not like cardio. Of any kind. I struggle to find something that I will do just to get my body moving and get the furnace burning. My body is put together with shorter, strong muscles that are ideally suited for power lifting as opposed to the lean, lengthy muscles of a marathoner.

I do not consider myself an organized religion person. The last time I stepped into a church was for a wedding. I do however, consider myself a spiritual person and I do believe in a higher power. I consider myself a "seeker" and enjoy studying ALL religions in my journey towards faith.

I also would say that I do not linger on the Home Shopping Network for any amount of time, and I am not a huge fan of infomercials. That being said, I did purchase a set of Turbo Jam DVD's for a friends birthday last year. Since then, Beach Body (the parent company of Turbo Jam) sends to my e-mail advertisements when they get new products. P90X - - I am not quite ready.

Two days ago I received an e-mail advertising a newer product called "Body Gospel". I was intrigued. These workouts were set to gospel music. Now my secret - I love gospel music. I have never been in a church and witnessed it live, but I love it. It makes me feel uplifted, energized and just happy! Today I ordered the Body Gospel system and can't wait to get it!

I told my work friend (a marathoner) about the program and he laughed at me. "What kind of a workout will you get from "church" music?" and "Won't you feel weird working out to "church" music?" I feel that WHATEVER will get a person up and moving is a blessing. And will I feel weird? Nope. My hope is that I will feel uplifted, energized and just plain happy.
Like I always do when I hear gospel.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

I haven't heard of Body Gospel, but there is some very upbeat church music- so it should be just as invigorating as the rest of the programs. I'd say go for it! I really want to try either P90X or Insanity.
