Oh Happy Sunday

It was a wonderful day, sunny and hot, 93. I like weather like this.
I went out early to workout and meet with a friend.
Then home to do some big batch cooking...Got lots of meals ready for the month ,and some thing's for lunch's. I do so much better when I plan my meals ..

I also changed my ticker, my goal weight is now 140, I think I was feeling a lot of pressure from the 135, not sure why but thought a change was in order.

I got a really nice reply from a women (ANARIE)(I wish I knew how to send you there to read it) about the starvation mode.....she made a lot of sense to me and told something I did not know, she said that people who have been obese for a long time get more dense bones, or heavier bones....who knew...she also talked about our bodies choose a weight and they sometimes won't budge, I think I'm there but you know I decided that's okay....I'm going to keep eating healthy and exercising and stop stressing over the scale....
The fact is I reached my goal , which was to get healthy and be able to keep up with Gary....I have done both....when we meet I weighted twice his weight and now I weigh 30 pounds less than him.....when I think about that fact I get tears in my eyes.....

I have come such a long way ...I am so proud of myself....

Have a great week and be proud of what you have done too...we don't always get exactly what we want be we can come close.....

On my dove chocolate today it said: Here's to something more powerful than chocolate, HOPE.......we all have HOPE that some day we will reach our goals and then some....

    You are such a winner Kitt, you stay positive, get realistic about weight and life and really enjoy what you are doing.

    I really love how you do big batch cooking, question: do you freeze the meals or just keep them in the refrig?

    I think you can search for CAPECODLIGHT or look at my friends. She posed a blog about a doctor's appointment. He explained about your body trying to go back to your set point which was your old weight. It takes a long time for your body to become convinced (through diet, exercise and maintenance) that it should create a new set point. Fascinating stuff. Glad you are in a good place.

    Excellent, Kitt!!!! I know you were stressing over the scale, and I kept hoping you'd let it go and just work on maintaining for the moment.     Very interesting about your bones. I know that our bodies sometimes decide what they're going to do whether our minds like it or not, but oh, that's frustrating! As you reiterate all the time, we can be thankful for how far we've come and be proud of ourselves...
