I've been lazy.

Sunday, June 13, 2010

I have not been on in a while. My daughter had 8th grade graduation. Also, she and my hubby have been in Music Man in our community theater.

I just haven't felt like writing or tracking and the 2 pound weight gain proves it! We've been going out to dinners and grabbing food on the go. Well, you know what happens! I was just so ashamed of the food choices I was making, I couldn't write it down.
Last blog was regarding my sister and her sabotage. Actually, she was pretty understanding. I ate one burger and lots of fruit and a teeny piece of pie, I mean miniscule! You know...just when you think you've got someone figured out, they surprise you!

Anyway, I'm back for another go at it!

How wonderful to step up and get back into it--I think it takes a lot of courage to go away for a while, then come back... it could be so easy to just rationalize leaving for good. I'm thrilled for what you've done for yourself, and I'm sooo glad to see you here again! (Some of that is selfish on my part as I get a lot from your sharing.) All the best, my friend. Have a great week! Anne emoticon emoticon emoticon

I don't really have any advice for you if it's a set menu. We just came back from a wedding over the weekend, and it was a set memu. Basically I just took smaller portion of the stuff I knew wasn't as healthy and just stuck to one small plate of food. I didn't eat any of the bread or the wedding cake. emoticon . I love wedding cake!
Don't beat yourself up because you gained 2 lbs. Just get yourself back on track like you are doing now and you will loose the 2 lbs in no time! We are always here for you at spark people! emoticon emoticon

I know what you mean...Between b-day parties, bridal showers and BBQ...I feel like I battling uphill lately. Just when I actually was feeling good about what I was achieving too. What do you do when the menu is a set menu? I mean I tried the portion control theory. Which actually works for me at restaurants where I order the best choice that I will enjoy and just eat a portion of it usually half. However what do you do with set menus?
Well, in short I feel for you! Let it go and please get back on track. Good Luck!

I know the feeling, the end of the year is so intense with activity after activity, I to have been eating out more, eating on the run, forgetting to eat early on and more than making up for it later in the day! We need to just forget what happened yesterday and focus forward!! emoticon

I understand how busy life can get. Everywhere I go I face challenges and most of the time I fail to stay faithful to my diet. My husband is the greatest person to help sabotage diet.

Sounds like a small blip and a lot of self awareness on your part. Good for you to recognize it so quickly and re-group.
