The lunch ladies.

One of the things that made me depressed enough to drop out of SP for a while, was the picture posted here. My 8th grader needed to have a picture taken with her parents for the slide show. So my 10 year old son snapped this one and I was horrified. I'd been feeling pretty good about my weight loss and it wasn't until I saw this that I noticed how far I still have to go.

See, "Lunch Ladies" is the word my sister and I use for the fat and flabbiness under the upper arm and mine are...AWFUL! I lift weights and try to be active and yet...
So, I felt, Heck, who cares? I'm just gonna eat.
Now I am repentent and determined to say farewell to the lunch ladies!

    I think it's a wonderful photo ! And stop about the flabby arms ! They are not as bad as you think. Remember, we are our own worst critics. I have yet to meet a woman (regardless of her size) who didn't think her rear end was wider than the Grand Canyon. So, fret not.

    Now, if you want sculpted arms, you've got to be ready to hit the weight room. Don't be afraid to lift a heavy weight. You will not look like a body builder if you do. Don't be afraid to do push ups. They WORK !! If you need to modify, that's okay. Start with push ups on your knees. As you get stronger, you can work up to military style ones i.e. on your toes.

    So, no more beatings, the beatings must stop. they aren't productive. a couple days of strength training will help.

    Don't throw in the towel. Or should I say the salami? Look at a picture of yourself when you started to where you are now. I'm sure you are healthier too! I would like to add. Nice family photo. Everyone looks so happy. Hang in there. You can do it!
