How to curb late night cravings? _ Dill Pickle Pringles anyone?

I stay within my calorie count ALL DAY, exercise for 15 minutes of aerobics last night, and then around 9:00 PM I am hungry. Like grumbly in the belly hungry. I grabbed the first thing I set eyes on. A tube of dill pickle Pringles. These are YUM, but admitedly - chips are a weakness. Measuring out a half of serving shows that I started out with good intentions, but grabbing the tube a few minutes later shows how weak I really am. I limited myself to just two full servings, but I probably should have grabbed a banana instead. Maybe best not to have these in the house?
What strategies does everyone use to curb the cravings?
