12 Week Plan Day 3..

Today I did arms. Mostly biceps and triceps. And I am hurting everywhere now. My butt and legs still hurt from Monday, my shoulders and chest hurt from yesterday, and my arms hurt from this morning. But it is a good hurt. I haven't found a work out that has kicked my butt this hard since I first started training with a trainer and she had me doing crossfit. Wow... I decided this morning I am going to have to revise the workout schedule to fit me though. I am just spending so much time lifting that I have no time for cardio, which I believe is equally important at this stage in my weight loss. I can tell the plan was originated for someone much stronger than I (currently) am, because she is doing 40 pound dumbell lifts. Seriously! When I did the "hit the rack" it said to do 6 reps starting at 40 pounds and moving down to 5 pounds, repeat for 4 sets. I could only do 4 at 40, and that was struggling and not keeping perfect form. This leads me to believe that it is ok if I morph the plan a little for my fitness level.
According to the plan, I am supposed to do Monday through Thursday and rest Friday and then start over on Saturday. Instead, I am going to do Monday through Thursday, do cardio only on Friday, and on Saturday do my outdoor workout as well as a full body kettlebell workout. Rest Sunday, and start over with "the plan" on Monday. That way I am still giving myself good cardio and doing the lifts that are recommended each week. Before I can expect to sculpt my body into the "award winning bikini bod" I have to get rid of some of this jiggle! :]
I plan on squeezing some type of cardio in where I can Monday-Thursday also. Yesterday I lifted for an hour following instructions! Then after a 10 minute treadmill session I pretty much had to go home in order to be able to cook dinner and get some homework taken care of. Sheesh, people who follow this stuff to the T and get cardio in must not have lives, or at least full time jobs and school...
Reminder to self- have to start a regular ab circuit back up next week, this plan has no ab work. How does she win championships without ab work?? Tomorrow it does say to spend the rest of the day on abs, after a few lifts, but no details. Luckily there is the TRX core class on Thursdays that I am going to hit up.
Sorry for pretty much rambling about everything that is running through my mind right now. :] I just want to organize my thoughts so that I stick to MY OWN plan, and see the results that I deserve after kicking my own ass constantly.
Hope everyone's hump day is going well.
