attended a motivating race expo

My boyfriend is going to run the Peachtree Road Race tomorrow, and I went with him to the race expo where he had to pick up his race number. I didn't really know what to expect, but I wanted to check it out and see what was there. It turned out to be a motivating experience for me, and we both enjoyed it. It was basically a huge room filled with vendor booths. At the various booths they were selling things, promoting other races, giving out product samples, etc. I'm not a runner, but I walk a lot, so I enjoyed looking at all the clothes and other gear they were selling. At one booth they had big stickers with different sayings on them, and my boyfriend found one that said "walker girl" with a picture of a stick woman walking. He bought it for me, which was very sweet. I also found a booth with some really cute headbands to wear while you exercise. I got one, and I'm going to try it out tomorrow and see how well it holds while I work out. I came home with a bag of freebies, including the following: snack samples, an Atlanta Braves sticker and schedule, a workout log, several magnets, a pace chart, a big reusable tote bag, and a shoe wallet. All in all, I really enjoyed going to the expo. It was inspiring to me to be in that atmosphere where fitness was obviously an important part of everyone's lives.
