Joined WW online today

so today I rejoined WW online. I have used this in the past, and found it to be very helpful. I actually lost 50 lbs back in 2001, and kept it off for quite awhile. It wasn't until nursing school that I put the weight back on.
I wanted to stay with free websites, like this one, but I think the online diary at WW is easier, and keeps things simple for me. I however, really like the other features SP has, so plan on using this site for my motivation.
I feel torn between paying money and doing this myself "free" . I buy food, I buy junk, so why not pay for something that could be really useful as a tool? I'm sure that if I were to brown bag it a bit more, and cut out a few other non-essential purchases, I can easily pay for my subscription. I hate going to WW meetings though - some people love them, but I felt like I was having a lot of merchandise thrown at me and pushes to buy their snacky items. I really want to emphasize the real food.
People have to buy prescription medications every month for their health, I think I need to look at a WW online subscription as a prescription for my health, and use it as the tool I need to help me keep track of my food and my exercise.
