Still trying to thank everyone

Day 11 of my journey

Still trying to get to thank everyone personally for the beautiful birthday wishes. I hope I don't miss anyone - but if I do know that I enjoyed and appreciated every single one.

Now today trying to get back on track from way too many calories from birthday supper - did not start off right this morning as I need to fast to go for blood work and then had a hair dresser appointment and didn't plan for my breakfast!

So I ended up at the drive thru Tim Hortons with a breakfast sandwich clocking in at 520 calories - as I now know from checking their website - BUT I am learning - I am being accountable to myself by writing everything done on my nutrition counter and making it available to everyone to see - so no more closet eating - that is what I am focusing on positive step for the day.

I am done with the closet eating - If I'm going to eat it I need to be fully conscious and aware of the calorie intake - next time I will be thinking twice before ordering a sandwich with such calorie intake.

    iT'S FUNNY because in NYC, and the mayor passed a law that all menus must post their calories on their menu on restaurants that have 5 or more chains stores. It definitely has made it much easier to lose weight.

    Log it and then jog it Sunshine! You get yourself back on track quickly, so you will be just fine. Realizing that you have to log your food intake is great. Keep up the awesome work.

    Hey! It was your birthday! Sometimes we can't avoid a splurge.
    You log it and move on, Right? What really irks me is when I eat something I know I shouldn't and I don't even enjoy it!! emoticon

    Just think it could have been WAY worse! Imagine some restaurant means are like close to 1000! When I eat those.. it is a major OOPS and wishing they had a calorie count on the menu. I guess, some places have those, but none around me do! Just think, next time you will be much more educated. If you don't want to be surprised again, you could buy a small calorie book to leave in your purse. That is what I do so I can try to keep track of my food when I see my family on the weekends! Whatever you decide, emoticon

    I didnt realise how many calories are in those.That is alot for those small sandwiches.Atleast it was at breakfast so you have time to burn it off and if you eat well the rest of the day you will be fine.I know the scale counts it but i dont count birthday calories.It comes once a year so I am glad you enjoyed it.Lisa
