Fat Smash Detox Days 7 & 8 of 9: Still Focused On The End Results..

Day 7:
I'll be perfectly honest with you, yesterday SUCKED for me. I was in a terrible mood all day and on top of that I had horrible cravings for silly things like Chicken Breast meat and Ground Turkey..LOL. This is progress for me though, because in the past I would have been craving cookies and pie. ;-)
I ate very well yesterday and stayed within the program. I spent a lot of time planning my workouts for this week and getting them entered into my google calendar as well as my paper calendar. I find that if I spend time on Sunday planning out my menus and workouts the week goes much more smoothly for me.
Day 8:
Today has rocked so far.
I started Chalean Extreme today so I got Burn Circuit 1 out of the way this morning. (Burned 308 calories doing it which was a LOT more than I expected because I usually only burned about 150 doing the Power 90 Sculpt workouts.) I still have one more workout scheduled for today and that's Rockin' Body Shaun T's Dance Party. It's one of my absolute FAVORITE Cardio workouts and I usually burn about 420 calories doing it, which should bring my total calorie burn from exercise for today to around 800.
As far as nutrition goes today I've continued to remain on point with the program and have not budged from the guidelines in the book. It hasn't been easy though. My husband has been bringing fast food in the house every day and eating it and just the smell of it makes me crazy.
Last night we were sitting on the couch watching a movie and he had Chili Cheese Fritos next to me and I though I would literally DIE just smelling them, but I refrained from even having ONE even though I wanted to literally lick the bag when he emptied it. I'm really proud of myself for that. The old me would have eaten them all AND licked the bag when she was done.
I am really glad that tomorrow is the last day of the Fat Smash Detox. Although I haven't been hungry much on the program, I have really craved cheese and meat a LOT. I would love to have cheese on my grilled eggplant, I would love to have the yolks of my hard boiled eggs, and I would literally KILL for some chicken breast right now. I'm not so much craving bad things like sugar or anything, it's healthy foods that I haven't been able to eat while on this detox. Things like low fat cheese, chicken breast, a cup of coffee, avocado, and whole wheat bread.
That being said, I do plan on having ONE splurge meal after this detox is over. I'm going to make some turkey burgers with feta cheese in the meat mixture and serve them on ciabatta rolls with all the trimmings and sweet potato fries.
All in all, I have felt really focused this week and on top of my game. The few days that I didn't feel great normally would have derailed my entire program and I would have quit but I still stuck with and persevered. That is a HUGE deal for me.
This has overall been a great experience that has taught me a lot about myself and I am sure I will make it a regular part of my program such as doing the 9 day detox every couple of months or whenever I get off track.
