I have been with spark people for a year and a half now and have managed to lose 30 lbs. by changing the way I eat and doing a lot of walking. I do at least 30 min. every day except when the weather is too bad, then I try and walk on the treadmill or do a exercise video. Today I went to the Dr. to get a new prescription for my high blood pressure meds, and I told the dr. that i started splitting my 50mg pills because my blood pressure was staying right around 107/71 and a couple of times it was 100/70. So by taking only 25mg, it is staying around 107/70. He said that it was good that I had lost all that weight and it was good that I could lower the dosage. So now my next step will be to get off the med. altogether. I'm hoping by next year by this time I can have it under control for good.
