Write about times when you have had a snack without really being hungry. Describe these situations. Jot down some ideas that you can use to help prevent you from doing eating mindlessly in the future.
-Sometimes just walking through the kitchen and seeing the cookie jar will inspire me to grab one (or two)
-I should train myself as I'm lifting the lid to question how much I really want
a cookie. If nothing but a cookie will do, fine, otherwise put the lid back down.
-We eat dinner in front of the tv
-I need to savor the food. Ask myself periodically, am I savoring my food?
